Bob has an eye for the character of a model. This shows in the structures, scenic features and rolling stock which have a sense of 'belonging'; of being a good fit in their respective settings.

Prize Winning Crane - Bob carried off a first prize at the 1994 Porirua Convention with this model of a Craven steam crane, scratchbuilt mostly in brass.

30 foot van at waterfall

a 30 foot van trails a train which has just passed the waterfall which feeds the rapids and pools of the river in the foreground, well known by locals for its bounty of brown trout.

Bob has a hankering to place some of his friends and relatives on his layout. First to arrive is his 'cuzzie' seen here doing what he likes doing just about most of all! 'Cuzzie' started life as a 1:32 scale military figure who has been radically modified by the scalpel. Bob's cousin at play

Water, water, everywhere ....

The first of the structures to appear on Bob's layout are watering facilities.
